Life according to Mrs. Thomas

Quote of the Year:

    Carpe diem!

WORD OF THE WEEK

             divergent

Room 103 is my room. Freshman English, Reading and Journalism take place here. It is usually very busy in my room because my students are lively and full of ideas. The furniture arrangement can change from day to day.

We try to be courteous and respectful to each other. Students may work in small groups or by themselves; nobody is left out. Students are welcome and encouraged to stay after school for catching up on work or some extra help and explanation. Sometimes 50 extra quiet minutes is all it takes to solve a problem or answer a big question.

We have a Promethean Board which opens up a whole new world of integration for even the shiest students. We can vote and text with personal devices, and my students LOVE to text! I will need some more practice at that...

Look for the “Email Me” button - you are welcome to email me with any question, concern or suggestion you may have. I will answer within 24 hours. Or, you may call me at 443-6193 after 2 pm. Please leave a message if I stepped away from the telephone.

Welcome to Room 103!
