Anaconda's The anaconda is a very large snake. It is usually 37.5 feet long, and about 550 pounds, and 30 centimeters in diameter. They are brown with black spots. The anaconda is the largest snake ever recorded. The young are born live and they come in batches of 20-40 snakes. The babies do not eat for about the first several months of their lives. An anacondas diet consists of jaguars, water foul, and even crocodiles. The anaconda is not venomous, but is very strong and squeezes its pray to death. The anaconda is nocturnal, they come out at night and sleep during the day. They are also carnivores, they only eat meat. The anaconda lives in the tropical rain forests of South America all the way to the Amazon. The physical region the anaconda lives in is swamps and calm water. The anaconda does not migrate. |
