ALISON Set Up

Each Fall, a 100 meter transect has to be set up, along with the installation of the ice thickness gauage. The fisrt year, the weather was cold, windy and wet. The second year set up had temperatures more typical for the time of the year, it was in the teens.

Setting up the project site in November of 2002 was a cold, windy, and wet experience for parent volunteers
Jerry and Vicky, as well as Vicky's son Tucker and UAF researcher Martin Jeffries.
