Greece has hundreds of myths that some people think are unscientific. Also you will learn about Greece's traditional dances and wars Greece has fought plus many other subjects. Discover the wonders of Greece in this report.

Greece has several traditional dances. One is the Hasapiko, which is a little bit like the waltz. Two other ones are the Tsamiko and the Kalamatiano. The song that all three are danced to is called the Bouzouki.

Greece has fought many wars. The War of Independence is one of the many wars that Greece has fought. when they won this war it was the beginning of Greece. Another war was the first Balkan war that began in 1912. The second Balkan war started because Greece and Serbia attacked Bulgaria on June 30,1913. Greece was in World War 1 and was one of the Allied Powers, who were against the Central Powers. They also fought in World War 2 with the Allied Powers, but they were against the Axis Powers instead of the Central Powers.

There are lots of different wild animals in Greece for example there are boars, which is a wild pig with horns. There are black bears, and lynx, (a small cougar). Others include jackals, (a small wolf), deer, fox, (a wild, smaller, orange or red dog), badger, (a black bigger wolverine), & weasel, (a wild ferret). These are the birds of Greece: hawk, pelican, egret, stork, pheasant, partridge, nightingale, and turtle dove. The water animals are: squid, octopus, cod, bass, and red mullet.

These are the plants found from sea level to 1,500 ft: oranges, olives, dates, pomegranates, figs, cotton, and tobacco. Also there are evergreen forests that contains oak, black pine, chestnut, and beech.

Along the main streets there are street stalls, or little stores that line the road. Several things are sold in the shops. Such as metal work that poor people make and sell. These are usually replicas of ancient artifacts. Poor people are not the only ones with street shops. Others also sell pottery, leather sandals, and fur coats.

Strangers are treated nicely because in their custom ancient Greeks thought that strangers might be gods in disguise. Greeks were nice to strangers even if it wasn't a god so that their gods wouldn't be mad at them.
The Lion Gate that guards the Mycenae city is stone. Greeks choose lions to guard the city because Greeks thought that lions were brave and very protective. The Mycenaens people were very artistic. Gold treasures were discovered in the tombs.

Greece's people have fought many wars and in the midst of that they have danced many traditional dances. People also have several old traditions such as be nice to strangers and the Lion Gate. They love to sell handiwork in shops, too. There are lots of plants and animals in Greece. Greece is an exciting country where its people have their own way of thinking.
