Paper Cuts

Students developed the idea of layering paper after studying Mola artwork of the Kuna people of Panama. Some students designed original drawings to make their paper cut design, others used the "pop art" feature of Comic Life (a computer application) to change personal photos into layers that could be constructed with cuts of paper. The final designs are layers of paper cut with utility knives.
