The collage art project followed following steps:

1. Students used the National Gallery of Art website: Collage Machine I and II.
They composed a collage on screen, printed one screen shot and wrote a full
paragraph about each of the 2 elements of design and the 2 principles of design
that are evident in their work.

2. Then they made a torn paper collage and wrote another full paragraph about each
of the 2 elements and the 2 principles that were used in the work.

Art principles: harmony, contrast, rhythm, repetition, gradation, balance,
dominance, and unity.

Elements of design: lines, shape, value, color, movement, size, pattern
