The Sea Brush, also known as the Sharp Tooth Brush, lives in the
Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands in Alaska as well as Santo Barbara County,
California.

The Sea Brush is dark red to brownish-black in color and is
profusely branched. The entire plant reaches about 15 centimeters or 6 inches in
height. It can eventually reach 40 centimeters or 1 foot and 4 inches.

It can be found in the low Intertidal or towards the low
tide mark.Sea Brush is common on rocks that have moderate surf or water currents.

Individuals collected from southern British Columbia/Southern
Washington were able to withstand immersion for a week in water at a
Temperature of 77o F but died in warmer water.
