My Dream for America ACSA |
|
I have many dreams for America. In this paragraph you may
read about some of my dreams including: not as much pollution,
less tobacco use, and controlling terrorism. Another one of my dreams for America is to slow down the use of tobacco. Think of the millions of lives lost to it. According to Ymn.org, over 400,000 people die yearly from tobacco which contains over 4000 toxic substances. So, why do people smoke it it? Because about 1/3 of the people who try tobacco get addicted. A way to solve this is to put less nicotine in tobacco. Another way is for the smokers to try one of those quit smoking programs. New York has tried to stop smokers by banning them from smoking at local restaurants. Smoking is a horrible thing because not only do people that smoke hurt themselves, but they also hurt others. I also dream that terrorism will be stopped. Terrorism takes many lives each year. Think about how many problems terrorists are causing in Afghanistan and Iraq. What if terrorism could be stopped? Wouldn't the world be more peaceful? There wouldn't be as many car bombs or plane high-jackings. Less pollution, little or no use of tobacco, and controlling terrorism are my dreams. What are yours? |
