America has many good characteristics, but many bad also. The U.S is the richest country in the world, and it gives many opportunities for newcomers to begin a new life. The U.S also has bad pollution problems, drug abuse, and problems with poverty.

Poverty is a major problem in the U.S. People lose their jobs and homes, or haven't ever had the money to buy homes for themselves. More jobs need to be opened up and be ready to take in people who desperately need a job. This matter needs to be taken care of immediately, or this will spiral out of control.

Terrorism has haunted the residents of the U.S for years, but terrorism is still a very large factor in the U.S today. Terrorism has taken thousands of lives just recently like the Twin Towers. That was a huge act of terrorism towards the U.S, in which was met with unrelenting force. All terrorist acts should be dealt with in this way. Terrorism needs to be taken care of very soon it has all ready taken too many innocent lives.

Resources, the key to America, by far one of the most important aspects of this great nation. But are we wasting away one of the most important things being given to us? Yes, people in America waste more resources than any other country and that is too much to be wasted in America! For example natural we use more natural gas and oil in a couple of days than some small countries use in a month! We need to be more careful with our resources spending or there will be nothing left for the future of America. We need to start making more fuel efficient vehicles to help slow the wasting of resources.

On a better note, the U.S averages the highest income of any country. The U.S also has the most powerful Armed forces in the world, with the most advanced equipment, and the best training the U.S is liked by it's allies and feared by its enemies. Which is all fueled by America's freedom and democracy. The U.S is a Great county indeed and democracy and smart leaders made it happen.

I hope that all these problems can be fixed or at least gain enough attention for them to have to be fixed. Even the good things listed could use some improvement in some way, to make this country greater than it all ready is. So that all the people in this country can live in a even greater place and be happier here!
