Science Drone

Jessica Cherry of the University of Alaska at Fairbanks came to visit us once again.  This time, she was in town to complete a little science investigation on the use of a drone to check out ice conditions. With the USCGC Healy and the Russian oil tanker Renda on their way to Nome, scientists are taking advantage of the opportunity to see how the use of drones may be used in the extremes of an Arctic environment.
