Nome Public Schools currently offers a homeschool program for grades 7-12 called Extensions. In this program, the parent is the teacher, with limited support from Nome Public Schools. The program is for Nome-based students only.
The Nome School Board is interested in finding out if community members would like to enroll for a similar Extensions program in grades K-6 for the 2008-2009 school year.
If you are interested in this program, please complete the survey form below and return it to any school, or to: Nome Public Schools, ATTN: Cynthia Gray, PO Box 131, Nome AK 99762; fax: 907-443-5144. A decision about starting the K-6 program next year will be made at the June 2008 Board meeting.
